Would save $16m on the cap if they move him.
I'd be happy with a 2nd rounder. I'm thinking they get a 3rd.
It makes sense. If this team is going to be locked into Burrow and Chase and (maybe) Tee long term - they are going to have to have a defense that is made up of dudes playing on their rookie contracts. There just won't be much money left over for defensive veteran studs. I hate seeing Hendrickson go, but signing him to a 4 or 5 year deal wouldn't be wise.

I think its super short sighted to pay both Chase and Higgins.
Like, we already see what is happening with the defense. I think you're way better off with either Higgins' or Chase's money (obviously they keep Chase) going to a high contract at a key defensive position.
You cant win in this league with no defense... no matter how great your offense is.

They almost proved that wrong last year. 2 or 3 plays/calls go the other way and they are an 11 win team.
I think the Higgins thing was for Joe. He was vocal about keeping him. But I'm sure Tee is pissed about the tag even though he'll be making $26m. I'm not buying the storyline that they sign both Chase and Tee to long term deals. Tee will be gone after next season.
I've been saying all along that they can't keep everyone. Hendrickson played out of his ass last year and they still had the worst defenses I've ever seen.
