Ppl who know nothing about NZ only think that.
The Maori do haka for various Occassions. If you go to Auckland airport you might be lucky to see a few hakas there. Families do them for members who are leaving for somewhere else.
I know, I had a close friend from New Zealand. He'd roll his eyes at what Westerners thought about "Hakas" and "All Blacks", but I digress. I was pointing it out because a journalist actually printed it.

It's fucked up for sure, but noone died, which explains why this isn't as big a news. Still though, that drummer guy obviously has some screws loose so hopefully they give him a good few decades jail time too
