I haven’t been back since we moved over here. I’m just waiting for the season to start.
I figured it wasn't. Someone made a screen name "matrix" on the newly created OG. Was saying some things you wouldn't normally say. Someone said glad to see you made if over matrix the Astros may win the pennant. 😂😂

This kid was a big get for us
I think Venables is going to be a better long term coach for Oklahoma than Riley would have been. But I also think Oklahoma should have stayed in the Big 12. They would have received a 1st round playoff bye more years than not there

Venables was a big part of the success at Clemson and part of their regression is Venables leaving

I can see some pragmatic reasons for OU to have stayed in the Big 12, but they would have been even more of a big fish in a little pond. I kind of like them now being in the biggest pond, albeit as a medium fish to start, and I’m not so sure that their playoff chances are that much more severely diminished with the expanded format. Recruiting is greatly enhanced too….Dallas and surrounding areas have long been an OU hotbeds, and if both UT and A&M are in the SEC we’d lose out on more of them.

From a purely fan perspective, the great games added every year is awesome...more games that are competitive and not blowouts is fine by me, actually, I prefer those. Of course, my son likes the blowouts more. Lol.

That is the biggest factor. Some of you are too young to remember that the big 12 at it's outset was considered the best football conference and most competitive. It declined through the last decade and you can track the recruiting declining along with the conference. The best kids want to play in the best conference.

You also have to recruit the southeast if you want the best defensive tackles. Playing across the southeast helps in a big way.

I think saban called it best when said Texas and Oklahoma are good additions, but they’re not gonna run the sec
I think Texas is gonna get a wake-up call in that league. The competition is brutal…and I’m all Texas so wishing not, but believe they’re gonna get smacked in the ass a few times

Texas gets the hype but Oklahoma has won 14 of the last 24 conference championships. Texas has won 3 in the same time frame. And Oklahoma might win 4 of the next 24 in the SEC. And with that discrepancy Texas is much closer to Auburn than it is Oklahoma, let alone Alabama

Texas got the easy schedule draw this season and they decided to fuck Oklahoma. Thankfully Oklahoma won't play a team with a pulse in their 4 non-con games

I wish ESPN would just agree to pay up so the SEC would move to 9 conference games though

The acc also plays 8 but no one is clamoring for an extra week of NC state v GaTech

I wish Texas and Oklahoma would have come to the ACC so they could learn who the real big dogs are. #GoCards
