tOSU is a huge school with lots of graduates. Hell, he didn't even go there but Lebron might float $5 million to Jeremiah Smith for him to stick around another year. $5m to Lebron is like $200 to normal folks.

I don't blame the players either. Smith will be a Top 5 pick in the NFL - but what if he has an injury that changes all that? It's foolish not to entertain 1-year, 7-figure offers.

I'm waiting for a school to have a lights-out QB and have their rival offer him $20 million because fuck you. Because that day is coming.

It's going to be the wild west for a few years - but eventually the colleges will come together and agree on a cap. If they don't, every major football program will have insane turnover to their roster every season.

We're all still waiting for them to get together and fix it. Guess what? Teams like ours don't really want to. At least not yet. But things happening like Smith leaving will definitely leave a bad taste.

You guys put that team together this year bc you're one of the halves. You know that. Years ago your rebuild would've taken a couple years minimum. Rebuild meaning fighting for a chip.

Michigan is doing it right now. Texass took a shot. Oregon... Miami now. A&M went hard out the gate in 22 but that was peanuts compared to now and they had an idiot driving the bus. I'd love to see the solution. I really would.

While it is fun being a fan of a team that spends like the Yankees in MLB, I'm able to view it from the side of a Reds fan as well.

Uncapped NIL will result in 10 or so goliaths competing for (paying for) the top talent every year. It isn't sustainable if we want college football to even slightly resemble what it's been in the past.

I just want to see the solution. Humans/organizations don't like giving up power. I'm guessing it's going to be a smaller number of teams than I originally thought playing in some sort of league. I'm betting that number will end up around 40.

I think the fans still want to see some sort of conference layout. I know I do. Now that we're basically at 4, maybe that ends up as SEC, B1G, ACC and Big 12 each having 20 teams. So 80 schools in "big time" collegiate competition.

Playoffs should still allow a couple teams from outside those groups into the postseason bracket.

Barring a coaching change, each player only gets (1) transfer portal entry for their career where they don't have to sit out a season. If they want to transfer again fine - but it will be like the old days where you sit out a year.

Not sure what you make the cap at - but I would make one that is overall for the school and a max for an individual player. So like the max for the program is $15 million, and the max for an individual player is $3 million.

Just spitballing during a boring conference call. Who sets up a conference call on a fucking Friday anyway? Fucking assholes.

The time slot is ridiculous as well. 4:30 on the west coast, on a fucking Monday, is costing them a ton of viewers. Couldn’t pick a worse traffic time, and that’s for the people who aren’t still working.

They need to somehow coordinate with the NFL and play the game on a Saturday night. Make it the last game of a triple header.

They should try for this weekend coming up. Aren't the NFC and AFC championship games both played on a Sunday? Perfect opportunity to play the Saturday night before. Especially if they're going to play until late January.
