Local dude won the 133 title.
Lucas Byrd

He won Ohio HS State Titles in 2018 (113 lb) and 2019 (120 lb)
I think he has aspirations to fight MMA.

Defeated Iowa's Ayala.

Very cautious wrestling until late in the 3rd - then it got pretty exciting. From my untrained eye he was definitely the aggressor, forcing Ayala OB multiple times - but I think only 2 stalls were awarded. Although Byrd nearly got pinned when he got caught a little out of position.

How do you guys think Burroughs and Cormier are doing with commentating as a team? They seem to have a good flow and vibe to me.

I always have a huge March Madness party every year. One of my buddies wrestled through college so we always keep 1 TV on during the finals for him to watch. Over the last 3 years or so, more and more people have been paying attention to the wrestling TV.

This year, we made the switch and the finals took over on the large TV and basketball was regulated to the smaller TVs with no sound.

Before the final HW match, I set the background up with Gable and how dominant he has been. We had 15 people - many of them chicks - going crazy when Hendrickson scored that TD to secure the win at the end of regulation.

Sounds awesome, almost like an old UFC watch party back in the day. Our invites most have been lost in the mail, asshole.

You aren't going to find many guys who are more knowledgeable on the sport.

I only watched the finals, and I immediately recognized DC's voice. Pretty cool he was doing that. I didn't even know the other guy was Burroughs. I wasn't completely locked in as I always had an eye on the basketball games so I could watch another parlay fall apart.

100% reminded me of the old UFC/Pride watch parties I would have back in the day.

Not sure what happened to that invite. Did you recently move? :)
