Bo Jackson, Christian Okoye, Barry Sanders were the shit in them games. The second one Tecmo Superbowl was the first game I'd ever played that kept your statistics. I played most of these games. Very cool thread
yep. Tecmo Bowl was great, but Tecmo Super Bowl was amazing. the GOAT of NES & a gamechanger.

I'm done. great thread.
Awesome!! I had the majority of those you posted. I got Tecmo Super Bowl on the day it was released. Hell yeah that was a game changer. It had all the teams and changable playbooks. The best thing though is it was THE first game to record your statistics for the year. This might sound super nerdy but my cousin and I did it manually with pen and paper just to see how many yards/ catches/td's we were actually getting. We had a whole system with score sheets. We recorded every play.

Kid Icarus :eggplant::eggplant::eggplant: I think I still remember the cheat code for facing Medusa in god mode. Rainbow Islands. The soundtrack to Klax. Ninja Turtles. Ninja Crusaders. And the Little Mermaid nes game was great, let's be honest.

not super nerdy, ahead of the game IMO

I kept a notebook of stats for my Bases Loaded seasons. HR, RBI, K, W, L, etc.

How did I miss this thread? I must have played through TMNT 2 thousands of times as a kid. Still remember the game genie code for infinite lives.
