And today's climate (marketing, online, business, etc) is all about metrics - clicks, views, engagement, etc. There's extremely low emphasis on marketing ability, customer service, quality product, etc. As much as the usual suspects like to whinge doing things that are "right", when it comes to putting their money where their mouth is, they go after the rage bait, sensationalism, & clickbait.
And he gets all that.
Personally, I think all that shit will end up crashing at some point. And I can't wait until it does.
Same, thought it would happen by now but let's be honest. We have a whole generation that grew up in front of a screen now. Our generation are just as bad with it. I don't see it ever going away and is going to get worse. The change will be corporations running AI generated influencers which we are starting to see.
