Since I got an android box, I’ve saved a ton on cable and ppvs and movies, so agreed.
They are not any worse than soccer moms.
Why else have a big ass tv right? So many movies around anyways, and most of them are shit. TV shows is where its at for me. And then I am still behind and trying to catch up. Still have to finish Breaking Bad.
Oh dude get on that. Love that series. Watched it through 4 or 5 times when I lived in China. I’m with you on the tv shows. I binge watch a bunch of series. The Black Stream box was the best investment ever. And you’re right. Most movies lately have been crap, but I liked Annihilation. Saw it a couple of days ago.

Some of these shows are addicting and I don't know why. The next thing somebody brings up crown moldings though, I am going to smash my tv... Other than that, mostly reading for now. Reading about K @Kaladin Stormblessed who happens to be a main character as well as a forum member here. Oh what a strange world...

I don't get why people still go to the movies when you can watch the shit from the comfort of your home these days. Why sit in a theater filled with disease ridden scum who cough and fart and talk and bump against you, when you can set up a home cinema for fuck all these days? It's one of the few throwbacks to the 20th century that is still supported by some people today.
Well, some theaters have reclining seats that you can sit in while you enjoy your $20 popcorn and Coke, so there’s that.

3D is a good reason and getting to see something as it comes out without running into spoilers.
While the story was terrible, you can't witness how beautiful Avatar was sat at home on your couch.
I'll give 3D one last go, it didn't work out too well for me last time.
