Louisville, Kentucky — On August 28, 2024, at approximately 12:15 p.m., LMPD Officer Brandon Brinkley was working a non-injury collision when an off-duty LMPD Officer requested backup to assist the Kentucky State Police, at the intersection of New Cut Road in Outer Loop. Officer Brinkley responded to the scene where he was met by a trooper with the Kentucky State Police and the off-duty LMPD Officer who radioed for help. Officer Brinkley learned the trooper had been in pursuit of a vehicle that crashed in the intersection. The trooper detained the driver of the vehicle, however an armed passenger had fled from the scene toward the Peddler's Mall in Walmart nearby. The trooper described the suspect as a male wearing an orange shirt. Officer Brinkley leaves the scene of the collision and goes to the last known location of the fleeing suspect. Officer Brinkley enters the tire center of the Walmart and begins asking customers if they saw a suspect, wearing an orange shirt. At least two customers direct the Officer to the armed suspect's last known location inside Walmart. Officer Brinkley begins to search the crowded store, for the alleged armed suspect while more LMPD Officers were responding to the scene. During his search, Officer Brinkley observes an orange shirt discarded in one of the aisles of the Walmart, indicating the armed suspect may have altered his appearance. Officer Brinkley spots the suspect running towards the front of the store and begins to pursue him on foot. The suspect exits the front of the store with Officer Brinkley close behind. The suspect ignores all commands to stop. Outside of the store, Officer Brinkley notifies dispatch and responding Officers that the suspect is reaching in his waistband. The suspect turns the corner of the store and forcibly enters the minivan of an innocent victim in the pharmacy Drive-Thru. He attempts to carjack a female victim at gunpoint, by demanding the victim to drive while pressing on the gas pedal with one hand and attempting to maneuver the gear shifter with the other. Bodycam footage shows the suspect's repeated attempts to both accelerate the vehicle and transfer the vehicle from Park to Drive. The engine can be heard revving as Officer Brinkley approaches the vehicle. As the suspect attempts to maneuver the gear shifter, Officer Brinkley discharges his firearm several times through the front windshield of the minivan, striking the suspect. The victim safely escapes her vehicle as Officer Brinkley subdues the suspect. Officer Brinkley holds the suspect at Bay until backup arrives shortly after. Officers remove the suspect from the vehicle, place him under arrest and provide medical attention. Two weapons were recovered from the scene. One handgun was a realistic looking replica and was found in the front pants pocket of the suspect. A second handgun which was real, was discovered on the floorboard of the vehicle. The female victim of the carjacking was located nearby moments later and was uninjured. The Suspect in this incident is identified as 37-year-old Randall Allen. He sustained non-life-threatening gunshot wounds and was transported to the University of Louisville Hospital for treatment. He will be charged with the following in relation to this incident: Robbery (1st degree), Possession of Handgun by Convicted Felon, Wanton Endangerment (1st degree), Fleeing or Evading Police (2nd degree), Unlawful Imprisonment (1st degree), Possession of a Controlled Substance (1st degree) Methamphetamine, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Resisting Arrest.
Louisville has become a shithole over the past 15-20 years. I only go over there when I absolutely have to.

Moses Lake, Washington — On May 4, 2024, at around 8:20 p.m., officers with the Moses Lake Police Department responded to a report of a domestic disturbance at the Motel 6 in Moses Lake. Body camera footage shows the suspect, 37-year-old Zachary Allen Stockton, locking himself in a room. According to a probable cause affidavit, Stockton had threatened to kill his girlfriend for allegedly cheating on him and allegedly pointed the barrel of a gun at her chest. Dude was fat, lazy, and slow even in a shootout. You'd think he was picking up chips and queso in a Walmart aisle.

Salem, Oregon — On February 27, 2025, an attempted robbery at the National Guard Air Station in Salem, Oregon, escalated into a fatal officer-involved shooting. Authorities responded to a report of a man, later identified as 22-year-old Matthew Wong, who had delivered a threatening note to the station's guard, demanding compliance within ten minutes. Senior Trooper Oxenrider, who was nearby training his explosive detection K9, self-dispatched to assist. Upon arrival, he encountered Wong near an airplane monument and attempted to engage him. When Wong refused to remove his hands from his pockets and then revealed a knife, the confrontation quickly intensified. Despite multiple warnings and two unsuccessful Taser deployments, Wong charged at the trooper, leading Oxenrider to fire two shots. Wong succumbed to his injuries at the scene. An autopsy confirmed he was struck twice, with bullets passing through his arm and torso. No other individuals were harmed during the altercation.

Eh, walking away with a knife when shot. I don't care at all but legally a bit suspect.

"Wong charged at the trooper, leading Oxenrider to fire two shots"

This is misleading at best.

I'm all about shooting people, but not when they're moving away from you and no one else is around and in danger. If he'd popped him while dude was running at him, I'd have zero problem.

St. Charles, Illinois — On December 1, 2024, a 911 caller reported seeing, 41-year-old Daniel H. Escalera, wielding a chainsaw entering River Glen of St. Charles, a senior living facility. St. Charles Police Department officers were dispatched. The first officer to arrive made contact with Escalera inside the facility at the doorway to the cafeteria. He was near multiple residents. The officer displayed his taser and gave multiple verbal commands for Escalera to drop the chainsaw. Escalera entered the cafeteria and started the chainsaw. The officer deployed his taser, striking Escalera in the chest. Escalera was briefly knocked down before getting back up, grabbing the chainsaw, and then running toward the officer. The officer retreated into the lobby and was joined by a second St. Charles Police officer. Both officers quickly returned to the cafeteria and a third officer followed Escalera through a secondary doorway of the cafeteria and eventually back into the lobby, where Escalera held the chainsaw over his head and charged toward the officer. The officer fired two shots which both missed Escalera. Escalera physically collided with the officer, striking him with the chainsaw and dropping the chainsaw. The officer fired a third shot as Escalera fled toward a hallway, hitting him in the left forearm. Once reaching the hallway, Escalera stopped to the immediate right of an elderly resident in a wheelchair, turned toward the officers, and held his hands forward in a position which appeared to imitate holding a firearm. The officer fired a fourth shot striking Escalera in the chest. Escalera immediately collapsed to the floor and officers handcuffed him before immediately providing medical treatment to the gunshot wound. Paramedics soon arrived and took over life sustaining measures. Escalera was transported to Delnor Hospital where he was pronounced deceased. The Kane County Coroner’s Office diagnosed Escalera as having methamphetamine intoxication and multiple gunshot wounds. The cause of death was ascribed to multiple gunshot wounds. Toxicology reports showed the presence of amphetamines, methamphetamines, and olanzapine. Based upon a review of the investigation and all evidence obtained, the St. Charles Police officer had the reasonable belief that the deadly force he employed was necessary to prevent death or great bodily harm to himself or other individuals.
