I'm a fan of Eddie and never thought of him as dirty. I also think Marc inserts himself a bit too much in fights. But that stuff is cheating, full stop.

I think Eddie comes from a different era, and took a different route to the top. Some of that behavior is just instinct, but some of it is intentionally-developed instinct. Eddie plays on the margins of the rules inside the cage.

didn't see it mentioned, but Eddie's corner called for that exact 12-6 elbow technique, Eddie acknowledged the instruction and then did it.

But 12-6 elbows are still apparently illegal so stand them up and give a warning or take a point away

My understanding is that 12-6 is only in reference to the ceiling and floor, not to your body, and it's because there could be a problem if your head is on the canvas and someone does that to your orbital bone. There was an article - I'll look for it.

I don’t think Eddie is dirty in a malicious sort of way, but he is an opportunist. You can push the limits, but if you take that chance and get called out on it by the ref, you should own it and not make excuses. The knee in the first fight and the elbow here weren’t dirty...just plain stupid and undisciplined. The fence grab during the first guillotine attempt was nothing short of egregious, and the ear rake was blatant and obvious.
Eddie has no one to blame but himself.

I wouldn't go that far, Eddie ate numerous punches & even some knees to the head too for good measure, Eddie would've collapsed over before the knee if the cage hadn't held him up. The fat lady was ready to start singing by the time that knee hit Eddie low
