Anybody have a project vehical they're working on or maybe plan to? Doesn't have to be anything crazy just something that only is driven for pleasure or weekends only. My little weekend warrior is a 91 VW GTI, black. It has the original 16v 4 cylinder pulled and now fitted with a VR6 (2.9 V6) out of a early 90s Corrado. Engine is chipped, K&N filter, header, 3" stainless exhaust. It has upper and lower front and back sway bars, RPI big brake kit with drilled rotors front and back, short shift and adjustable coil overs. I got tinit all around, out all new Kenwood speakers in last year alomg with 2 10" JL audio sub's and a Kenwood amp. My summer rims are 16" BBS RX2 with Kuhmo Ectsaa, I'd love to get them refinished but its pricey. Ricaro seats front and back are still in great shape thankfully as those are also expensive to redo when it comes time. Its not no old school american classic muscle or exotic but I fucking love this little guy and I always have fun driving the amazing roads in BC.

I hope others have something to contribute. I'm a huge car nerd. But I sold all of my fun stuff to start getting rid of school debt :(

^^^^^ Max capacity?
You can fit about 15 in there as long as they are hog tied.

***VERY IMPORTANT*** Make sure you bring plenty of candy and duct tape because the screams can be a little intense and amplified when they see the knife.

Once i am done paying off my '14 Jetta TDI my plan is to either get another Trailblazer SS like I used to have or maybe a gto with the LS2 in it. I miss my SS. AWD, built transmission, e-fan kit, tune, CAI, and a few other odds and ends...And would destroyyyyyyyy people. The looks on their faces were priceless when a grocery getter would outrun them, by a lot.

^^^^^ That's awesome. My car isn't exactly fast but for what it is it goes. Once I'm going on the highway and a nice set of turns is coming it will put handle majority of other cars I've messed with. A good V6 in a tiny car is a good combo.

Yes it is, that thing was straight power though. Hit 150 one night on a wide open stretch of empty highway... Good times

What would you build given the chance? I used to have a 72 Chevy C10 short box step side with a 454, BM ratchet shifter, 4:10 gears....beautiful truck, I really wish I kept it. I had my VW for sale last summer with the idea of moving in to a BMW E30 with a M series engine swap. I researched it for a few month and I just don't have the time or money quite yet. Those cars are soooooo nice.

One day....

Although I haven't had the opportunity yet this would probably be pretty fun to ride. I imagine a stallion like this has plenty of horsepower and an engine that could go for days as long as you fill her up.

Like asking a favorite movie ;) Depends on the day...

You mentioned BMW, so if I were going that route I'd buy an E39 M5
Then I'd go broke keeping it on the road :)

BIG project $50,000 and 5 years? Restomod a 240z with all the fixin's... VQ35HR, full IRS, big brakes, etc. Make it light and tossable...pray I didn't hit anything and the 1970's chassis crumples like the tin can it is.

If another world with a little more cash I'd look at any of the N/A porsche options... The new Cayman GT4 haunts my dreams....

I want a 240z badly. I was searching them a year or so back and came across one that looked like a hunk of shit with no paint but was listed for 15k. Curiously I clicked it and some genius had put a Nissan skyline engine in it. Could you imagine that?

Also my land speed record is 150mph in my 370z and I was hoping to test the 155 limit today but I was late and the road was busy. Fml

Nothing special to most people, but definitely part of my family. A 92 Probe low rider. I bought it in 93 (second owner) and can never get rid of it. I start it every week or so and once in a while I take it down the road a mile or two, but it hasn't seen any real action for many years.

My first car. 1994 Camaro Z28, Corvette ZR1 wheels, gutted catalytic converter, dumps, and couple other mods.

I grew up mostly in a very rich north Dallas city, where most of my 16yr old friends were having mommy and daddy buy them cars for their birthdays.

I grew up living in a 1 bedroom apartment with my mom when I was in high school. Slept on the floor b/c I didn't have a bed and the couch messed up my back.

Long story short, I paid for this bitch 100% myself. I EARNED this car, and own it to this day. I have a 2nd car which is just my everyday car for work b/c of gas. It's a 2003 Cavalier with 98k miles.

This I plan on giving to one of my sons when they turn 16. Don't want to look like a hypocrit but my parents couldn't afford to get me a car, so if I can do it for my kids that makes me feel good about myself.

I will still teach my kids good morals/ethics.

I know it's the new family four door yuppie version of the Jeep, but it serves a lot of purposes for me, and serves them well. I like the multiple personalities of the Jeep. Particularly the one that likes to strip down and head up the mountain.

Jeeps are definitely a fun car. I dated this mexican girl Maria Garcia back in the day and she had a Jeep Wrangler, 4wheel drive. It was fun challenging getting that thing stuck in creeks and big slopes. One time we almost thought we'd need to get a tow out of this steep hill, but I wanted to give it one more chance.

She said, "What are you going to do if we can't get out"
I said, "wait"....
Floored it, got good speed and climbed out of it.
"That bitch!!"(in a playful way)

Good times.
