"I have already said that some of my close and dear people are studying Chinese. My granddaughter has a teacher from Beijing, she speaks Chinese fluently," the head of state said.
Putin added that his daughter had long ago begun studying Chinese with a teacher, and interest in this language is growing in Russia.
In September last year, the president said that the young members of his family know Chinese. "My family members, also small, speak Chinese, they speak it fluently," the Russian leader shared.
