Russian President Vladimir Putin, at a meeting with representatives of international news agencies on the sidelines of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF), said that his granddaughter speaks Chinese fluently. RIA Novosti is broadcasting.

"I have already said that some of my close and dear people are studying Chinese. My granddaughter has a teacher from Beijing, she speaks Chinese fluently," the head of state said.

Putin added that his daughter had long ago begun studying Chinese with a teacher, and interest in this language is growing in Russia.

In September last year, the president said that the young members of his family know Chinese. "My family members, also small, speak Chinese, they speak it fluently," the Russian leader shared.

Old people always say that stuff about the younger people in their family. A kid plays Call of Duty 8 hours a day and his grandparents tell people that he's a computer expert.

lol, accurate, these kids are so involved with tech but know nothing about computers though, it's all phones and tablets for them
