He said he has got his back after the ambush stunt
He certainly didn't, was he even one of the guys that jumped in the ring to stop out of control raja
That guy does bear some responsibility if that was the only communication about the in ring ambush stuff
He claimed in his rage-fest interview (granted dude lost his day job already), that he was instructed by Reno Anoa'i to instruct Raja what to do. And then he unwisely used wrestling terminology that Raja clearly didn't understand the context of.
Then he says he was pulled off the angle later, again by the promoter Reno, and thus wasn't even in the building when shit went down. He was apparently outside getting ready to leave, which is why I believe (but cannot confirm), that he's the guy that calls Raja and says, "I just saw the video" and "you didn't have do all that" and like a psycho Raja just says "my bad."
He explains in the interview that "the receipt" is just one potato, one solid shot to make things even. But he obviously didn't explain it like that to Raja, he just said to give him his receipt, and tag him, and he'll back him if anybody is upset about that. Huge mistake obviously. But he tried to explain that he was "in character" for that stuff, for the benefit of Raja's Kick stream, and even that is a dumb excuse.
He then claims that after he was taken off the spot, a producer told Raja to not just do one shot, but to go at the guy until they pull him off of him. Producer probably meant working punches, not real ones, but again, everybody treating Raja like he is smarter to the industry than he really is.
Apparently everybody is treating Raja as if he is a worker, and knows the extent of what they want him to do, not knowing he's an idiot who has 12-year-olds and his father riling him up for over an hour leading up to this.
And the promotion clearly thought something might go bad, because pink-haired dude was told to keep an eye on things even though it wasn't his match, because he was the only other "shooter" aka "guy who knows how to really fight" that was present. Proving they knew it was a bad idea and still did it anyways either to cover their own asses and claim the beer can was also planned, or just to take advantage of free Kick stream promotion, and a minor celebrity's family member being involved.
So IMO Reno, AJ Mana, and any producers or other wrestlers involved with this fucked up majorly, and that whole promotion is a shitshow and needs to be shut down. Just irresponsible shit everywhere, and now everybody is pointing fingers and deflecting blame.
But the list of what went wrong was extensive IMO:
--Raja shouldn't be out suffering from post-concussion shit (not an excuse, just yet another contributing factor).
--There shouldn't have been drinking before the matches.
--Stu should only try to "work" with people who agree to work with him, not going into business for himself just because he sees a camera, and he did seem a little drunk, and probably should have been sent home at that point.
--Reno should never have thought it wise to make an angle out of this. Carnies do that all the time when shit goes down with the boys, blur reality and fantasy, but Raja wasn't a fucking worker, and is an obvious hot-head.
--AJ and any producers explaining shit to Raja should've stressed exactly what they expected him to do, and any talk of "receipt" was dumb as hell. But that's besides the point, he never should have been involved with a run-in angle in the first place, he's not a worker, and never been trained in pro wrasslin'.
--Raja shouldn't have let his dad and chat rile him up to commit premeditated felonius assault
--Kick streams are internet cancer
--Holy fuck still working and pinning Stu for a 3 count while he's choking on his own blood and teeth in the ring was some ghoulish bullshit as well
So yeah, lots of blame to go around, but most of it is nevertheless on Raja since he's the guy who decided to punch an unconscious dude 20+ times.
Everybody else can be blamed for the situation being a total clusterfuck, but Raja is the only one who can be blamed for his own actions.
