The one thing I will say is that, at last IMO, they gotta tread VERY carefully with this Rocky shit.

Rocky injected himself into Mania last year with plans everyone HATED. The public only got over it because the pivot turned out great and they lucked into a fantastic program. How many times can that happen, though?

And at what point do fans, even if they don't realize it, stop getting invested in storylines on any deep level when Rock can randomly decide 2 days before an event that he's gonna show up and shitcan everything they've gotten invested in, anyway?

Yeah, I don't think they'll turn Cody heel, I think they are just teasing it and giving him a crisis of the moment type of thing.

He's on the Cena route. Kids love him, he moves tons of merch, he does the Make-a-Wishes and all that...you turn him heel and you kill that cash cow. And there's no reason to do so while he's still on top and moving merch.
Especially when you can have Punk sell out.

Starks and Pillman Jr will be signing autographs at bingo hall shows in a couple years under the “Former NXT Stars” banner.
I don't watch much NXT, but Ricky has looked good last couple weeks.

I really don't understand people watching women's wrestling to perv on, when you have all the porn that's ever existed at your fingertips.
Why are cheerleaders at football games? Why are waitresses at sports bars hot?

Because straight men like hot women to go with their hobbies. I ain't wanking it while watching, just an added bonus of eye candy. Plus the women put on some bangers.

Main shows definitely seem to be treading water a bit trying to get to Elimination Chamber.

Not sure where they were going with having Gunther look less than dominant against Tozawa, and all the other storylines are kinda simmering. No real epic feuds going on at the moment.

Women's Tag-Title match was real good though.

Gunther's entire WHC run has been him looking less than dominant.

Why there's been such a huge difference between his IC run & WHC run is beyond me. All they had to do was run it back and it woulda not only been impressive, but actually made the WHC important (like he did the IC belt).

Was there any furthering of the Jade / Bianca / Naomi thing?

Nothing yet, but Bianca and Naomi dropped the titles to Liv/Raquel. So that feud is probably heating up, only for Jade to return at Elimination Chamber or Wrestlemania and then probably point the finger at Naomi or something.

Cody's legal last name is Rhodes.

He changed it years ago

Does WWE own the rights to his name or something? I thought I remembered hearing something like that when he left the company years ago & that's why he was going by just "Cody" on the indies.

WWE had the trademark until some time in 2020... thats when Cody got that as well.

Its always a weird grey area anyhow when its someone's legal name but WWE trademarks it for entertainment use.

Its kind of like WWE having the trademark for John Cena since 2004... despite it being his real name.

Heard this on a podcast: After the legal battle over Cody using Rhodes, Scott D’amore was the one that discovered WWE had let the copyright expire. He told Cody who then got it back.
