Guess we need to have a safety meeting on how to use a fire extinguisher, thank god I was here and was able to stop it before it spread.

Shit never ends.

WHOA...everything Ok, man??
Yeah, just an old fryer that decided to rupture it's vat and the dripping oil caught fire and was shooting 5 foot flames up the wall from the back vent. Luckily I got it out before the ansul kicked off. That would have really sucked.

Man, you missed an opportunity to cash out with insurance!
The building is so old it would go up like a tinder box and there is a good chance people would die from the three 100 gallon propane tanks we have sitting next to the building. I don't want to even think what would happen if they went off.

Way to ruin my dream of you being rich off insurance money by bringing up facts and reality

What a nightmare, that could have been a disaster.

You guys up and running or closed for repairs?
up and running, threw the old fryer out and ordered a new one. Luckily during the covid shit show when we could only do takeout we did a quick kitchen remodel and I had put stainless steel on all the walls behind the kitchen equipment.

Glad everything turned out for the better

I was always under the impression restaurants have a fire suppression system over the grills and the fryers
Like a sprinkler system with heads pointing down connected to halon or some chemical

That mofo John Tapper would always scream at owners for not cleaning shit around the the grill and fryers
