The weird thing is I was at Finsbury Park station waiting for a train.
I could see their stadium mere metres away. It was lit up. I was like oh, I thought they were playing away tonight. I took the jabras out expecting to hear 50k of soy whining and moaning with maybe some chanting.
I heard nothing. Zip. Nada.
I just assumed they had a corporate gig on there, it’s not uncommon.
it was on,y when I got home and got WhatsApped a million times that I realised they’d lost and there was a game going on there.

It's been a bad season no doubt but we are only 7 points off 4th and every team is inconsistent. If we can put a run of results together then things could change.

If they wanna start winning leagues again and competing in Europe they need to replace about ten players

We need to get rid of Laca, Ozil, Mustafi, Luiz, Bellerin and possibly Xhaka. We'll likely have to replace Auba too as he will leave for CL football, most likely. It won't all be done in the summer, but over the next 2-3 seasons. I think if we buy well we can challenge for CL football next season, and if we can build on that then we could challenge for the title within the next 5.
A lot of change has happened behind the scenes since Arsene and the sounds coming from Arteta are very promising. It's a lot of work, but we have some really promising young players coming through to build on like Saka, Martinelli, ESR, Nketiah, Nelson, Guendouzi and Willock. Pepe is only 24 and will come good, you can see his talent, but it's still a bit raw, and we've got the next big thing french cb Willy Saliba(google him, he's like a young VVD) coming in the summer.

Lucky against Everton, but they've been on a big upswing with Ancellotti too. It's not that long ago we comfortbably beat United 2-0 and they've since beat Chelsea and Spurs. Everyone is inconsistent atm, but we've been building on good performances since Arteta came in until these last two games which have been a step back. Although, if you are calling us lucky with Everton then xG would have us being unlucky against Olympiacos. Swings and roundabouts.
Definitely need to get rid of ozil. Xhaka is either average or shit. Guendouzi is going backwards so they need to solve that riddle. Try to keep auba but I wouldn't blame him if he went. Mustafa they should have assassinated because no cunt will buy him. Bellerin hasn't developed at all but is decent.
I'll give it a full season with Aeteta before I start the 25-30 year doomsday talk.
