This looks like a fun ride. You get the bigger tires?trek FX 3 gen 4
I'm not really thinking about any of that right now. I showed my brother my Garmin watch readout and he said now you need to get a chest strap heart rate monitor. I told him after this purchase I'm broke. I accessorized it and spend a little more than I had in mind. One thing I'm glad I got was a phone mount. This looks like a fun ride. I use this one. Pretty sure I got it on sale for $50 or $60I'm not really thinking about any of that right now. Yup, I definitely see that. A run that'll get me sucking wind is 20 min and I'm done. A ride is an hr plus.Biking is definitely easier on the knees, ankles, back, hips than running. Years ago i bought a shitty Walmart bike just to make sure i was gonna stick with it. Eventually got a Felt. It was much faster. I still prefer jogging though. Jogging a couple miles gets me done faster and on to other things. When i would ride, it was an all day thing.
I definitely recommend some bike shorts and a good seat. When i rode, i just put my basketball shorts over the top of the stupid looking bike shorts.
how is it going?I'm hoping to get a cycling thread kicked off. I'm in the market for a road bike and I haven't ridden since childhood. I have some questions for riders.
Still going at it. No world records but I'm riding about every other day. Put about 75 miles total on her so far. Mostly hills. Still hard but getting easier. There's one hill in particular that is just an ass kicker that will never be easy. Going down it I hit 32 mph. Going back up it I'm at like 2 mph.how is it going?
