Almost all North American used oil is from Canada. You're also overstating the historical ties of oil empires and banks. You need some Hardcore History in your life, bro.

hmm interesting. From my limited research its like the complete opposite. Governments may appear to 'regulate' on the surface, but only as per orders from above. Then again I am no expert on such specific economics and policy, I'm just speaking in a general/historical sense. Banking and oil families took over most governments long ago, I can't imagine where/when/how they would have given or lost it back

Let me ask you a question. When's the last time a government enacted a policy that helped oil companies?
^ well for the USA you could start with looking at Foreign Policy/military operations over the past bunch of decades.... You don't think many of those helped the Oil companies? so who was giving orders to whom? Cui bono?

No. The U.S. gets its oil from Canada, we've already talked about that. The government has also been funding alternative fuel sources since the 90's. Oh, and they completely fucked the oil companies in 95.

It sure seems like they have most things locked down to me, but then again we are able to see only hints and shadows of how things are actually played. I claim no deep understanding of things at that level, but Iran seems to be backed into a corner, Russia at least appears to be trying to resist, and I don't know shit about where China fits into the picture. I've heard if these 3 can get together they could challenge shit but like I said how can we ever get a clear grip on what is going on behind respective closed doors?

I woke up from my slumber tonight and decided to open up the Bible, I just happened to turn to the exact page you are talking about in 1 Corinthians 15:52 ...but to my surprise the Lord showed me the more deeper connections that had to be made ...connections this thread touched upon.

@Masato Toys post above, I was inspired to look deeper into the passage he mentioned and I was guided to 1 Corinthians 15:35-52 here I will try to break it down for you all so we have a clearer picture. 35: But some man will say, How are the dead raised up? and with what body they come?
(Here the question is brought up about the dead being raised and how even today nobody really think its possible for a dead man to rise up from his grave.)
36: Thou fool, that which thou sowest is not quickened, except it die:
37: And that which sowest, thou sowest not that body that shall be, but bare grain, it may chance of wheat, or of some other grain.
(We are being told that how we behave here on Earth will directly effect if we are raised up into the spiritual world of heaven. Our actions here in the physical realm will directly dictate if we transcend this dimension into the spiritual heaven upon death.)
38: But God giveth it a body as it hath pleased him, and to every seed his own body
(God gives every man/women on this Earth a body to do what they please with and to act as they feel fit. "Free Will" It is our choice weather we want to act good or bad.)
39: All flesh is not the same flesh: but there is one kind of flesh of men, another flesh of beasts, another of fishes, and another of birds.
40: There are also celestial bodies, and bodies terrestrial: but the glory of the celestial is one, and the glory of the terrestrial is another
(This is a pretty crazy passage where God confirms there are other beings we do not see with the naked eye.)

(Boom! This is heavy right here! God is telling us that he is aware we are brought into this Earth as sinners sown in corruption, but the resurrection comes when we "DIE" and through death ...we are resurrected in incorruption free of temptation, free of sin! We are told right here that we must abide by the laws set forth in the Bible but there is nothing to worry about as long as we do our part here in this World to do good for humanity.
43: It is sown in dishonor; it is raised in glory; it is sown in weakness; it is raised in power
(Another confirmation of what comes after we die. We see it time and time again, loved ones aging and dieing broken down by the hardships of life ...trying to make it in this World, crushed by the pressures of trying to be "successful" but here God is comforting us and letting us know that through the heartache and pain we will be raised in glory - power and renewed with the Holy Spirit as long as we follow the rules.
44: It is sown a natural body; it is raised a spiritual body. There is a natural body, and there is a spiritual body.
(We are born with bodies of flesh here on Earth and we live our lives and die, after death comes the resurrection into the spirit world...this is important to remember because we are at a time when Satan is selling us the deception of "Immortality" ...when this times comes ..you will have to ask yourself if you truly want to live forever?)
