I realize the theatrical aspect of this, but my fantasy, my shining hope, is that people will care about the evidence.
And it's quite damning.
I didn’t think it was bad. It came across more like a victim impact statement session which is an angle I really hadn’t considered. Lady Ruby and her family are saying nobody from there elections job has stuck around because it’s just not worth all the crazy hassle. Her grand daughter (I think) had worked that job for 10 years and quit. I’m stone your 70 year old mom getting hassled by those assholes to the point she has to leave her home.
I agree that that Bauers religious comments weren’t to my taste butit did make his case come off as sincere. I don’t know his history but from what was mentioned today he’s a devout R and that’s why his testimony speaking against his parties actions is there.

I get that the final witness was touching, but what impact does that testimony have aside from fleeting angers towards the former president, whom many of us already despise?

Then, instead of leaving it at that, explaining more of the process. They should have explained what would have happened had the officials agree to trumps coup attempt
What would have happened had pence counted the fake electors?
Instead, it was left at "trump had fake electors written up and sent to pence, but pence denied them." Danger averted

I was only listening so I probs my missed some things.
Maybe this was a “hearts and minds” day. I dunno. Potential voters on the fence might feel compelled to avoid the R when they see an old lady talking about having the most powerful man in the world targeting her for just doing her job. Or at the very least put pressure on their representatives to ditch the trump train. I like your suggestions though.
