the most I can stand of Conor McGregor is a few minutes of him fighting. Slack is number calling the ammount of pages he wrote like it's his mid school homework I'll pass that.Waiting for the @regular john review.
You know maybe this book is useful.. @conor mcgregor nut hugger can jack off into each and every of those 288 pages and then use it as a doorstop.the most I can stand of Conor McGregor is a few minutes of him fighting. I'm surprised at the reaction here. I've always liked Slacks breakdowns of striking and fights. I realize he was blowing his own horn with that post but it seems fitting when you consider who he was writing about.
It seems that the majority of posters think that self promotion is acceptable if you're a fighter but not if you're a writer. This was an unexpected and weird double standard I didn't see coming.
Self promotion is fine I do it all the time IRLI'm surprised at the reaction here. I've always liked Slacks breakdowns of striking and fights. I realize he was blowing his own horn with that post but it seems fitting when you consider who he was writing about.

I like that you call out Slack. I think he's decent in feeding stuff to the masses, but his hiding his identity makes everything a little suspect. He's also a sucker for any fighter from the Queen's lands or former colonies. His paeans to Prince Naseem were laughable.the most I can stand of Conor McGregor is a few minutes of him fighting. Writers have used pen names forever. Mark Twain, George Orwell, Ayn Rand, all pen names.I like that you call out Slack. I didn't know he hid his (her?) identity. I've read a bunch of stuff he(r) has done and never felt the need to find out more about the author.I like that you call out Slack. All old as fuck, and he's basically a blogger.Writers have used pen names forever. Mark Twain, George Orwell, Ayn Rand, all pen names.
What are you on about? All old as fuck, and he's basically a blogger.
But none of them were allegedly boxers/kickboxing talking about something they supposedly have aptitude in and making a living off it. My sense is Jack either never fought and doesn't want to take heat for it, did fight and didn't do so well, or fought and did pretty well, but wants his work disassociated from his credentials/rep.Writers have used pen names forever. I understand your point but for me it doesn't matter if he's had experience or not. All of the articles / videos I have read / watched have been well researched, had insightful observations with good examples from prior fights and accurate conclusions. He's entertaining with his writing and knowledgable whether he's had experience or not and that's good enough for me.But none of them were allegedly boxers/kickboxing talking about something they supposedly have aptitude in and making a living off it. When he first started posting on the UG he was asked point blank where have you trained, who have you trained, have you fought etc and he was sort of cagey about it. I believe because he supposedly trained fighters and didn't want his journalistic work conflicting with a write up he may have done on them or something weird. There was someone who sort of came at him saying it was the equivalent a blue belt writing on BJJ until proven otherwise.
Then as now I felt the proof was in the pudding. Jack's analysis has always seemed pretty close to on point, but that's because I'm just a striking fan myself and haven't had much formal boxing training. it's never been clear whether he's had years of training or is just similarly an avowed fan, which I feel is at least worth knowing.
