They have the freedom to draw pictures and make fun of Islam and it is illegal for people to shoot them over it but as I said, I have little sympathy. I'm allowed to call a random guy in the street a cocksucker and it is illegal for him to punch me over it but there would be little sympathy for me if he did.

No, they don't deserve to get shot for mocking Islam (which is an absurd ideology, even for religion) but I'd be pretty "meh" over it.

At least some Muslim gunmen got killed, so there was a happy ending.

No I don't think anyone hopes to be shot. I think they were expressing their beliefs in the freedom of speech that this country guarantees, and flipping the bird to the people who want the infidels to convert or be killed.

I was referring to the people at the event and organizing the event. Islamic martyrs also believe they get virgins in death. They also think killing scores of people with attacks like this or bombings are a good thing. Can I ask a personal question, are you a Muslim?

Why does he need camo in an urban environment? He reminds me of a saying we have for guys in cricket that turn up with all shiny expensive gear, but are actually terrible, 'All the gear, no idea.'.

I can see your point about it was intended to provoke a response. However, I'd think what they expected was perhaps, at most, a condemnation on twitter. I don't believe for one second they expected, or wanted to get shot at.

You can't see them if they have came on, duh. That was taken with a special camera.

And nor should they have to be worried about being killed for painting a picture or holding an event. If that's how Muslims want to carry themselves in their own country than more power to them, it'll lead to less of them. But don't for one second thing we should bend to their will.

Martyrdom is not exclusive to Islam.
