New wall furnace starts going in tomorrow.
Its kind of a big deal because that means I can turn the water back on, lol.
That means I can shit there and wash my hands. That means I can live there while I work and cook outside like a damn NiteProwleR @NiteProwleR.
This thing

Old school wall furnace, double sided like the juan it's replacing, living room side and kitchen side.
Has a blower, and an optional secondary blower that I didn't spring for but can add later if I want.

Reminds me of alot of places I lived in growing up.
That's a vertical ventilated unit. They're legal but the safer versions vent directly out the side through the wall. White makes some of the best wall heaters (had one in my Morro Bay house).

So where we at big daddy MM
Furnace is installed but cover got dented so they're ordering a new one of those for me. He put the gas line for the stove.

Water is on, though I still get antifreeze when it settles so I just keep running it.

Made a bunch of holes to replace sketchy outlets and moved to studs, plus added one for the dishwasher.
So now I'm ready have tape & texture guy start. I don't want to move anything in til that's done. You know how that dust be.

Thats about it other than place is worse than I thought now that the 2 feet of snow is melting off, lol.

Actually just wrapping up and I'll be done for the day and waiting on the drywall dudes. Then paint, new flooring in the kitchen, and then I can spend thousands on cabinets and appliances.

What is worse than thought, the yard?
That, and there's a rotten section of log by the door at the bottom where they weren't shoveling for who knows how many years.

But, yeah, the yard is full of trash, weeds, and holes from the dogs that lived there before.

Its all fixable just added to the list of shit to deal with.

Met one of my neighbors. Old retired vet type, keeps his place nice and will look out for mine now that he knows there's a new owner. Nice guy.

I need to get a new washing machine. I've had my current Whirlpool Cabrio for 15 years or so and have repaired it multiple times, but now it's met its death. I'd jump on a Speed Queen if the capacity was better, but I just can't do 3.2 cu/ft. I need 4.6 to 5.2. Anyone have suggestions for Whirlpool, Maytag, or GE models that aren't all electronics? This one looks about as simple as motherboards get without going Speed Queen:
