Some... its full of a ton of crazy cross bracing, on advise of several professionals, due to the height and extreme winds this area gets.

EX- I can fit my dog sled up there but not my canoe. I'd put my raft frames up there but I've already got them hanging snug on the internal ceiling (there's welded D rings all through those containers top and bottom, real handy.
Are you thinking of the ultimate dog man slide? No need for stairs!

As long as it is usable somehow.

If I was making one like that I would want as much storage/attic as possible but I understand you don't wanna make an engineering mistake and have to start all over if it gets fucked up.

I don't have space for storage containers or I would be getting into the shit as well, I want to build a superstructure, 4-5 of them stacked somehow. Like some Road Warrior shit.

Yeah, we were stoked on all the potential storage on the tops, but then we were told the correct way to do it out here.... spent a day and a couple hundred bucks bracing the fuck out of the boxes. Makes sense, the entire structure depends on those boxes being rock solid.
What we have left is an 8x12 space on each one that is mostly wide open, you can see the openings in the pics.

Mostly he's been trying to decipher the riddle that is the cat that lives here.
She was used to a very mellow lab (RIP) and thinks this new dog is a fucking idiot. She takes no shit.
Even when none is given sometimes lol. She's running a tight ship and Rowdy needs to fall in line.
Its soooo good for him, the murdertwins let him maul them and now he thinks all cats want to wrestle.
They'll be BFFs by spring.

There was a reality show Texas Flip N Move that made a L shaped house welding two of those together it actually turned out really good
There was one on a British TV show where they used shipping containers on top of each other at right angles to form a cheap cantilevered house. It also turned out surprisingly good.

You guys gonna bother sheathing the roof or just put the metal right on the rafters since it's just storage
We were going to sheet it but the contractor who got us the metal at his cost (friend) said perlons would be completely fine. And cheaper :)

Yeah, only issue will be if you have a heat source inside you could get condensation on the bottom of the metal but since it's just outside storage it will be fine and the metal will provide plenty of shear strength

We could make a drive thru bar like this juan by my brother Bologna's house.1000003623.jpg

I make a mean michelada. We can call it NHO's and will hire Montana talent as well as mexican girls to make the tacos.

They swing the law by serving your michelada on the side, so you pour your own as soon as you drive away. A place in San Antonio went a step further in mexigeniuty by mixing the cocktail fully but then stapling the brown bag shut. Cops are fineish with this setup. We don't drink and drive, we park and sip.

Before Bologna got sick we'd take about 4-5 trips a day to a drive thru like this all over town. I don't fuck around like that anymore but he just loved his cold muffler on the go. They get packed.

Half (one side) is done, roof on!
Inside for lunch and to warm up a little. Its a sunny 45, but its still cold up there.

Took the scissor lift comment to heart yesterday and it's been working great for getting sheets in position to slide up.

I'll get pics tonight. Hopefully we get all these sheets in place and the other shit at least staged up there by sunset. Have the lift til 1 tomorrow.

We're basically propping an end of panel on the scissor lift, raise that edge to the roof, and shoving them up into position. We built a temp lip/edge that catches and holds them with a 1 1/2" overhang when we pull off the temp edge thing.
Working pretty well now that we have our system dialed in.
