Iirc the PNW rests on a very similar latitude but does a 90° turn.

It was May 18 2025 , a cool rainy May day.
Because of the poor weather many were inside watching tv or on their smart devices posting and clicking away until it hit, it was the Super Solar Storm of the century! It came in like a thief in the night starting on the east coast then slowly cascading west taking out power and communications. The people were left in the dark confused, they had relied on power and internet for so long ...surely this would be fixed in a few hours

Around April 12th 2025 NOAA officials became aware of this DOOMSDAY event but did not want to alarm the public with what they found out with their data, NOAA projected a near 80% chance of a cascading infrastructure failures decimating financial networks and emergency communications

NOAA wasn't the only one in the loop of the coming catastrophe, the Pentagon had picked up on it too, estimating May 17-19th of a this potential catastrophic event. Officials from NOAA informed the Pentagon that peak CME arrival time of 11pm ET on May 18th. A Category 4 Warning was issued but the public was kept in the dark.....
