Paul Burchill the guy was a MONSTER on the European circuit, as you can see in the vid below he was marketed as such but like Mike Awesome he was a big lad with agility. In the WWE he was no longer the big guy but he was still large with a skill set not many had. He was also good on the mic.

Unfortunately for Burchill WWE creative had seen pirates of the Carribean and thought the British guy would make a good pirate gimmick. Burchill ran with it and and got over hugely he was a fan favourite but before merchandise could be made there was one obstacle,Burchill said it was Disney bringing an end to it but I heard Vince McMahon, he hadn't heard of Jack Sparrow or pirates of the Carribean and he thought the whole thing was stupid so it came to an end. Burchill shortly after lost his curb stomp finisher and that was pretty much him done in WWE he became a jobber and was treated worse than Wade Barrett is now.

and look what a freak athlete like Brock was able to achieve in a short space of time. He might have been a lot better had he entered combat sports at an earlier age, and got used to beng hit a bit more

Taz for me was a big one. He came in to WWE as a fucking killer, the guy was formidable in ECW, he put on great matches and in his debut beat Kurt Angle.

Then it went downhill and he got fat. They put him in matches with the old guard and made him weak against the top guys. WWE killed his wrestling career but started his commentary one.

ECW 3 way dances were the fucking GOAT. He, Tanaka and Mike Awesome had an epic one on one of the ppv's.

I really wish WWE would get away from triple threats and into 3 way dances. Gives you the chance to see a quality one on one match after the third wheel is out.
