So Cohen has a new lawyer

It’s one of these two. Hillary or a Clinton lawyer. I guess since they haven’t locked her up Cohen thinks he is a good lawyer.

DEMOCRAT HIKIND RESPONDS TO SCHUMER’S PLEA FOR DONATIONS WITH ‘HELL NO!’

COUNTERS SLAM ON ‘HARD RIGHT AGENDA’ WITH UNCOMFORTABLE TRUTHS ABOUT ‘HARD LEFT’

Assemblyman Dov Hikind (D, Brooklyn) said he recently received a mailer from fellow Democrat, Senator Charles Schumer asking for contributions. The letter was riddled with attacks on the “hard right” but omitted vital information. In an open letter to Schumer, Hikind filled in the blanks.

“Senator Schumer, in your letter you promise to fight for Democratic values and go on at great length to fully villainize the current administration, but you left out certain facts that my fellow Democrats, to say nothing of all Americans, should also be aware of.

“You forgot to tell us about the economy. As good as it’s been, economists expect even more growth through the end of the year. That’s very good news, Senator.

“You forgot to tell us about unemployment, which is lower than it has been in decades, while economic confidence is at a 17-year high. It’s also at a record low for minorities. That’s very good news, Senator.

“You forgot to tell us how the U.S. is beginning to emerge in energy dominance. The Department of Interior, which has led the way in cutting regulations, opened plans to lease 77 million acres in the Gulf of Mexico for oil and gas drilling, decreasing our reliance on foreign oil. That’s very good news, Senator.

“You forgot to tell us about the most remarkable relationship between the United States and our ally Israel ever. Or about moving the U.S. embassy to Jerusalem, which you yourself applauded.

“You forgot to tell us about the successful dismantling of the Iran Deal—a deal which you yourself opposed and knew threatened the rest of the world by making it easier for Iran, the leading supporter of world terrorism, to develop nuclear weapons.

“You forgot to tell us that the Trump administration is against the harmful reverse-discrimination criteria in universities that would so badly hurt the children from hard-working Asian families. So much for the big tent, Senator.

“You forgot to tell us about a potential peace with a denuclearized North Korea.

“You forgot to tell us about tax cuts. I’m part of the middle class and now I’m getting a little extra in my paycheck. I’m happy about that and so are tens of millions of Americans, Senator.

“You ask for a contribution, but the Democratic Party—which I am a lifelong member of—is currently betraying the ideals that our party once stood for: American values. You yourself proposed that Representative Ellison head the party, but you must surely know that Ellison has stood with our nation’s leading hate monger Louis Farrakhan.

“Senator Schumer, as a fellow Democrat, I ask you to work to restore sanity and honesty to our party so I can feel good about supporting it fully. Until then, I’m afraid the Republicans have my support.”

Hikind is a "Democrat" who backed George Pataki for governor in 1994, George W. Bush, John McCain, and Mitt Romney for president. His endorsements have drawn criticism from voters who question his political stance as he has grown increasingly conservative. Hikind has been a guest in many right-wing radio shows. He has been a vocal supporter of racial profiling targeting Muslims. After voting against a same-sex marriage bill in the New York State Assembly, Hikind claimed that same-sex marriage can lead to the acceptance of incest.

Sounds like a guy ready to change parties. Don't see the problem here. Plenty of that all around.

Typical left to totally ignore what he actually about the good things that are going on in this country and focus on whatever helps your agenda. Your party right now is honestly as pathetic as it gets. Oh and I like most people believe you are far left, not a real democrat.

You just ignored my information and personally attacked me. That doesn't set a great precedent.

Transcript from Trump's "rally" last night. Really fixated on Elton John's organ.

“I have broken more Elton John records, he seems to have a lot of records. And I, by the way, I don’t have a musical instrument. I don’t have a guitar or an organ. No organ. Elton has an organ. And lots of other people helping. No we’ve broken a lot of records. We’ve broken virtually every record. Because you know, look I only need this space. They need much more room. For basketball, for hockey and all of the sports, they need a lot of room. We don’t need it. We have people in that space. So we break all of these records. Really we do it without like, the musical instruments. This is the only musical: the mouth. And hopefully the brain attached to the mouth. Right? The brain, more important than the mouth, is the brain. The brain is much more important.”

Mar-a-Lago seeks permission to hire 61 more foreign workers on H-2 visas
President Trump’s private Palm Beach resort is seeking permission from the government to hire 61 additional temporary foreign workers to staff Mar-a-Lago during the ritzy Florida community’s busy season, according to United States Department of Labor records released Thursday.

The club seeks to hire the non-American employees as the Trump administration cracks down on illegal entry into the United States with a so-called “zero tolerance” immigration policy.
Trump has been criticized for his hiring practices by Floridians who claim they want to work and have been turned down for Mar-a-Lago jobs for no apparent reason.

Fox Business host on Trump tariffs: 'We'd be shouting' if Obama did this
Fox Business Network host Dagen McDowell said on Friday that conservatives would be “shouting to the high heavens” if former President Obama had implemented massive tariffs the way President Trump has.

McDowell, speaking on Fox News’s “Outnumbered,” said there has been a lack of criticism for Trump over escalating trade conflicts between the U.S. and other countries.

“If President Obama had pulled what we’ve seen in the last six months, we would be shouting to the high heavens, blowing the roof off this building about how Obama was killing the American farmer,” McDowell said.

Manafort bank fraud trial does have Trump campaign connection, Mueller's team says
Prosecutors for special counsel Robert Mueller said in a court filing Friday that they intend to present evidence at the trial of former Trump campaign chairman Paul Manafort that a banking executive allegedly helped Manafort obtain loans of more than $6 million while the banker sought a role in the Trump campaign.
Manafort faces trial on bank fraud charges in the Eastern District of Virginia beginning July 25. Until now, there had been no indication that his role in the Trump campaign would become part of the trial, and he had asked the judge to keep details about his ties to President Donald Trump out of the trial. Prosecutors say any alleged collusion with the Russian government won't come up at the trial.
"The government intends to present evidence that although various Lender D employees identified serious issues with the defendant's loan application, the senior executive at Lender D interceded in the process and approved the loan," according to the filing.
The bank executive "expressed interest in working on the Trump campaign, told (Manafort) about his interest, and eventually secured a position advising the Trump campaign," the filing said. The unnamed man "expressed an interest in serving in the administration of President Trump, but did not secure such a position."
While the senior executive is unnamed in this filing, in a previous court filing prosecutors identified Lender D as The Federal Savings Bank.
"Here, it would be difficult for the jury to understand why the loans were approved without understanding that the lender approved the loans, in spite of the identified deficiencies, because the senior executive factored in his own personal ambition," prosecutors wrote in the filing.
Manafort's team asks to move location of trial
Manafort's team wants to move his trial on bank fraud charges and other financial crimes to Roanoke, Virginia, they said in a filing Friday.
The lawyers claim it would be impossible for their client to have a fair trial in a place like Washington, where partisan politics are strong and the public closely follows national media and political news. Roanoke is in the southwestern part of the state about four hours from DC.
Manafort's trial in Alexandria, Virginia, is set to begin July 25.
It "is difficult to conceive of a matter that has received media attention of the same magnitude as the prosecution of Mr. Manafort," his lawyers wrote. "Mr. Manafort's legal issues and the attendant daily media coverage have become theatre in the continuing controversy surrounding President Trump and his election."
They point out specific instances where Manafort has faced "intensely negative news coverage," especially in the past month. After a judge in DC revoked his bail three weeks ago, even Trump tweeted that Manafort got a " 'tough sentence' -- incorrectly suggesting that Mr Manafort had been sentenced for committing a crime," Manafort's lawyers wrote.
They describe how the Alexandria area had voted 2-to-1 in favor of Hillary Clinton in the 2016 presidential election, while the Roanoke region's votes were more evenly split.
"It is not a stretch to expect that voters who supported Secretary Clinton would be predisposed against Mr. Manafort or that voters who supported President Trump would be less inclined toward the Special Counsel," Manafort's attorneys wrote.

I love it that the DNC is hitching their wagon to this crazy bitch, calling her the future of the party. They are their own worst enemy.

Trump administration admits they’ve lost track of roughly 20 percent of toddlers’ parents
During a conference call with reporters and U.S. District Judge Dana Sabraw on Friday afternoon, government officials acknowledged that as many as 20 percent of the youngest children ripped from their parents on Donald Trump’s orders won’t be reunified with their families any time soon.

The revelation comes a day after Health and Human Services Secretary Alex Azar assured the public that the government would meet the court’s July 10 deadline to reunite children under the age of 5 with their parents, only to immediately backtrack.

Trump reportedly gave out his personal cell phone number to world leaders and US officials 'had no idea' he was making calls
  • President Donald Trump reportedly gave out his personal cell phone number to foreign leaders shortly after taking office.
  • White House officials were shocked after a summary of a conversation was released without their knowledge.
  • US officials reportedly had to rely on Trump's memory of the call for details.
  • Following the incident, US officials insisted Trump adhere to the federal records law and route all calls with foreign leaders through the Situation Room.
