FBI Reportedly Has Fake Green Cards Given to Undocumented Immigrants Working at Trump Golf Course
Supervisors at the Trump National Golf Club in Bedminster, New Jersey, provided fake green cards and Social Security numbers to undocumented employees, according to a report in the Washington Post. Anibal Romero, a lawyer representing five immigrants who were undocumented while working at the Trump property, told the newspaper that he turned the fraudulent documents over to the FBI.

“I’m confident that federal and state authorities will conduct a complete and thorough investigation,” Romero told the New York Daily News in an interview. Romero first contacted Robert Mueller, the special prosecutor investigating the president, but Mueller told him it was not within his jurisdiction. A few weeks later, though, an FBI agent contacted Romero.

“He said to me that he had received a referral from Robert Mueller’s office and that he already knew the specifics and that he wanted to meet with me in person,” Romero said, so he met with two FBI agents in November. At the meeting he turned over fake green cards and Social Security numbers given to Victorina Morales by her supervisor at the Trump golf club. Romero also turned over pay stubs from former employee Sandra Diaz, who was undocumented at the time she worked for Trump but has since obtained legal immigration status.

According to Romero, the FBI said they would “coordinate” with the New Jersey attorney general, suggesting that they are investigating employment practices at Trump’s Bedminster club.

Diaz and Morales recently took their stories public in the New York Times earlier in December. “There are many people without papers,” Diaz told the Times, adding that she saw undocumented immigrants hired by the club.

When asked why she came forward, she said, “We are tired of the abuse, the insults, the way he talks about us when he knows that we are here helping him make money. We sweat it out to attend to his every need and have to put up with his humiliation.”

Julian Castro could easily put together enough momentum but his Obama cabinet experience wasn't high profile enough to matter. He needs to get some better name recognition and then he's a challenger. That could happen with a good push early on. But the dem love affair with Beto might undercut pushing two from Texas. Julian needs some national level exposure and he's a serious contender if he fills out his stances on national issues as pragmatically as he did in Texas.

You really think? To me, the shine has worn off. Incredible foundation and background, a mixed but reasonable history as mayor with some admirable actions.
Then seems to have made few friends in the last two years.

Of course he did. He agreed to fund the govt. with a CR (Continuing Resolution) until his favorite right wing talk show heads made fun of him for not including the wall, so he withdrew & shut it down last minute to please them.

Now he wants a 'deal' - when he had one beforehand that he ran from.

I disagree, and here's why. Warren might or might not be a great candidate, but she can definitely win against Trump.
This is because anyone can defeat Trump in 2020. Dems can run a brick against him and win - for one reason. He has peaked.
There's no surprise, and he's worse than anyone anticipated. It's all downhill now.

The biggest reason though, is 2019. This year, a couple of things will happen:
  1. The economy tanks.
  2. His scandals get bigger/worse.
  3. The (presumed) end of the various investigations landing more of his inner circle in jail and at least one or two of his kids indicted.
RE: #1. This might be the most impactful. Not even his "base" will gut it out through a faltering economy when they start losing jobs, retirement accounts and sales due to economic depression from effects of his "tax plan" and failed trade war tariffs.

Just like everyone who said he couldn't win was wrong, those saying he will win again, will also be wrong.
This time, no Russian help will be enough to overcome the 2019 disaster.

The only question is whether he'll be around in 2020 to be voted out.
