They also say Asian Americans, Hispanic or Latino Americans. Because Caucasian Americans make up for over 70% of the population, so when addressing the minorities, it's right to say what part of the minority group they're talking about.

Just like when you talk about women champions in the UFC, you say UFC Women's Bantamweight Champion because if you just say, UFC Bantamweight champion, most will think they're talking about men, because men are the majority.
