My grandfather was a mason. He got me in because demolay was a big part of his upbringing and he was trying to show me that the world was bigger than my mom's fucked up home and lifestyle.

A place like that was exactly where a fucked up poor kid needed to be.

Damn I want to visit. Where is that?
Up in the cascades 60 miles east of the south willamette valley...aka Oregon
Southeast corner of Linn County to be specific, nearly at the top of the Cascade Mountain Range.
All the water in those images travels north up the willamette river and eventually joins the mighty Columbia before hitting the Pacific Ocean

One of the most amazing places I have ever been, doesn't feel real in some ways.IMG_20211026_134634818.jpg
I walked underneath the falls before, can't remember how I got down there. Will do again this summer sometime.

Clear lake on a fall day, started to rain on us this day when we were out on the water.

I love this place, I stop and hike down to it every single time I drive past
Revenant waterfall scene was filmed there I believe, many years after this image was taken
