The Aiyuk side and the 49ers side, from everything I've heard lately, remain unhappy with the way each has approached this. Still could come to an agreement, but it is unlikely to be all hugs and buddy-buddy.
Adding what I'm hearing: My understanding is the #Steelers believe an agreement is currently* complete on their* end-- and "has been" for an unspecified period now--to trade for WR Brandon Aiyuk, but that the organization is still waiting for final approvals from the #49ers, per source. @Rapsheet was 1st to report this update.
Additionally, when I asked about the reason for the ongoing delay in officially consummating a deal, I gathered from the rhetorical questions in response-- that there's lingering curiosity on whether San Francisco is still reviewing its options and leverage. Again I'm told, "it's a waiting game."

NEW: Brandon Aiyuk and the 49ers have agreed to the main parts of a new contract, the 49ers have INCREASED their offer and Aiyuk’s preference is to STAY with the 49ers.
This according to Mike Garafolo of the NFL Network who added, there’s one thing to be ironed out between both sides and if it does, Aiyuk will return to San Francisco.
