So for those who're better able to speak to it, is he legit and does he have a chance to get in and straighten shit out?
No. Canadians are not conservative. You can run an economic conservative with a centrist social campaign and win but you can't run a economic+ socially conservative campaign and win in Canada. Not with our current demographics.. If we were still 90% white country then it would be possible but not in the 60s (%) or what ever it is today.

The only thing he can do is rob Conservative Party (who are socially centrists) of a win.. Although liberals will do SO bad this next election I don't think he can even take this win from the conservative Party.

unfortunately the woman inthe pic is a stripper who handed over classified documents that maxime left at her apartment to the hells angels . it resulted in him losing his cabinet seat. he then went on to start his own party later in life

maxime bernier says all the right things but has zero political power . his party has had 7 years to secure a seat in parliament and not one single party member has been able to do so . i voted PPC in the past but i feel like their popularity has peaked and there best days are behind them . they did best when the CPC was weakest . now a lot of the PPC (maxime bernier) voters have gone back to the CPC because Pierre has pretty much a slam dunk on being the next PM . what that has left the PPC with is the fringe weirdo demographic . think Qtards . i support what they were trying to do but as a party they have failed to do much of anything . i am of the impression that after they fail to secure a seat in the next election the party will fold and maxime will retire to his villa in florida. one of my biggest complaints about the PPC is they failed to grow the party on a local level. they have had several elections and by election and 7 years to develop as a party . they have done nothing but pump up max. there is no vice president . there are no clear other top leadership members. nobody even knows who their local candidate is going to be until a month before an election . 7 years later they are still running the party like it is brand new . the common complaint against the party is that it is the cult of max . there has never been a leadership race . they appointed a guy 7 years ago and he has been failing hard ever since .

tldr; i wanted to like maxime bernier but he is a grifter and his party is dead in the water

That's some insightful and tragic detail, gents.

I'd spent a fair amount of time as a kid, a punk teenager, and a younger man in the lower mainland (my mother was a Canuck as are my siblings) and it was more than a little clear from my last visit to Vancouver early last year that you folks are in dire need of some relief from the jeet biohazards in particular. Those fuckers seemed to be soiling anything and everything including the culture and feel of the place everywhere and I didn't sense much of a backlash brewing... yet...

In the absence of a decent euro-canadian nationalist movement with a party and viable candidates, worse might just be better for now.

I don't get much in the way of warm fuzzies from Poilievre who's marketed as the "Conservative™" in the least and it looks like Danielle Smith is even sadly riding that cancerous invasion wagon.

It's hardly PC but I've also found some of the content here instructive:

Yeah, Pollivier is a shoe in unless they try to kill him, and I don’t think Canadian politics is there quite yet

You can't win an election on a white/euro nationalist campaign. You can win an anti immigration (not anti immigrant) campaign. You need to secure some immigrant votes.

they spent 215 mil but how much of it actually reached Gaza? dumping money in to a war zone seems like a great way to stuff it in to your pockets. as for the 3000 per refugee BC just reneged on an election promise of 500 bucks per person because it would be fiscally irresponsible right now ...so fuck the citizens but here is 6x as much for a fucking foreigner
Wierd how that shit just seems to happen with almost predictable frequency...

Bernier ran for CPC leadership, and got fucked by the convoluted selection process they used. The part knew he was popular and wanted to keep him as a second in command.

His ego was hurt, and he kept throwing tantrums in caucus and was eventually kicked out. Then as an independent he launched his own party which ran on a libertarian lite platform. His crown jewel was protection of gun owners and pulling back on our shit gun laws. When it came time to vote on a new gun law, the fucker didn't even show up to vote.
