RvW was always unconstitutional. Overturning it undoes bad "law" and is a step in the direction of being governed by legislative consensus of elected representatives, and restores the critical Separation of Powers to our system.

I can understand your argument in principle but the reality is that overturning Row v Wade has allowed millions of women to be subject to backwards abortion laws.
Either you misunderstand what I wrote or I misundertand what you wrote because I'm not generalising close to half the country (if you're referring to the US). I shall clarify my position, then you can reassess.
A person who thinks a raped child should be denied abortion is a piece of shit, along with people who support the stricter abortion laws. That's not a generalisation regarding half the US. Maybe you were referring to some retarded theocratic country, or maybe I wasn't clear. the overturning was just pulling the Band-Aid off, and it needed to happen sooner than later. Imagine how much more damage could have been done if a judiciary with the same originalist/limited interpretation of the Constitution suddenly decided to revoke "rights" that had been in place for a century...the political upheaval would be far more devastating than this (relatively) short period where we try and figure out how to come together and establish real privacy rights.

Someone may think abortion should be banned after 20 weeks except in cases of incest or rape and that would be a perspective I disagree with but can understand. I would not call them a piece of shit.

That's a false characterization of that survey. 37% said illegal in "all or most" cases, vs. legal in "all or most", which means there probably are people who believe in exceptions for rape or incest that answered that way. That doesn't add up to 37% falling into the category Leigh is talking about - who are terrible people with no compassion - imo they are evil or naive followers of evil.
Laws should not be based on what someone believes "God intended". We have a separation of church and state here. Little girls should be valued as people, allowed to recover from trauma without compounding it first or risking their lives and bodies unnecessarily, and they should not be treated like vessels for whatever harm men want to bring to them.
And people who believe they should be disregarded as human beings of value in this manner are pieces of shit.
