Official: David Benavidez team has offered fight to David Morrell
A boxing official connected to the situation told BoxingScene Thursday that an offer from Phoenix’s Benavidez (29-0, 24 KOs) has been sent over to representatives of Morrell (11-0, 9 KOs), and they are waiting to hear back.

Devin Haney has now filed a lawsuit against Ryan Garcia alleging “battery, fraud and unjust enrichment” relating to their fight in April, which was overturned to a no-contest after Garcia failed multiple drugs tests and was given a one-year ban. Haney is seeking punitive damages and the lawsuit alleges: “Haney suffered damages in that he suffered physical injury, reputational damage which will amount to millions of dollars, and emotional and mental distress.”
Reputational damage will increase with this lawsuit.
