I've seen some really good ones, the amputees are always great, a few bits of twisted bone and shredded flesh hanging off a stump looks real.
Sci fi horror I can suspened disbelief to a degree, ghost stories I find it impossible.
I got some shrapnel in my head. Was in and out in a day. Can't recall what other shit, my buddy who went up there got yellow fever, the kicker is they made him stay in the pretend hospital for days. My chief sold us the idea of going to York to hand out with nurses and go on the piss. Then the cocksuckers were locking us down overnight as if we were real patients, I only had to spend one night in there. There was CCTV and strict instructions that if we fucked around with the equipment or started trying to import beers we would all be in serious shit.
At the end of the week, my buddy finally gets released and everyone is loading back onto the coach, we were like "nah fuck that" went on the piss for the weekend in York instead. Fun times. The Monday after I handed in my redundancy papers and got told off for stinking of booze by the PO lady in the office. I told her to get fucked and mind her own.
Proper memory lane today. So I'd filled out my redundancy forms in the crew room and some cunt accidentally put a mug on it leaving a coffee ring. That's what the PO was telling me off about when I handed it in, I was explaining I couldn't give a fuck and then she was all up in my shit about smelling like a brewery. Then lecturing me about eating breakfast if I'd been on the piss to line my stomach yada yada.

It really works, cgi just doesn't have the same effect, especially from that era.
It is a good film, sound track is great, original cut suffered a bit, I think it ended up in development hell for a while, or maybe the opposite and it got rushed to the screen, I can't remember.
The orgy scene in the directors cut is full blood and gore though if I remember correctly.

The voice is also modified and fake as fuck, which I don't really have much time for but I get he is playing a character.

I reckon neither is a thing but I like the way it is left, the story comes full circle by the end, it is great.
