After not being able to figure out where I left of with the show, I decided to just jump in with 7's premiere.

Not bad. I'm still not sold on Andrew Lincoln and the only character I like is Daryl (though I'm sure his time will come) so the events of the new episode had no effect on me. Negan is pretty cool.

When the fuck is "Coral" going to cut his damn hair?

Spencer was right. Rick turns everything to shit.

Even tonight, he cooked up a brilliant plan to row a boat filled with holes across a lake filled with zombies, almost killing a guy.

I think the Hilltop should quietly prepare for war :bomb: with Negan :pileofpoop: .

Mullet :barberpole: head makes Negan :pileofpoop: a bunch of bullets that jam up.

The Hilltop attack, but are just about to get their asses kicked when Carol and Aikido man roll in with King Ezekiel :crown: and the Tiger  eats Negan :pileofpoop:.

Carl knocks up Enid :eggplant::sweatdrops:.

Rosita and Sasha scissor :scissors:.

That was initially Shane who said that.

I think there is a message here like sometimes doing the right thing isn't the right thing.

You know the part where they go to CDC and find Dr. Jenner and he explains that zombies only function for survival and the part of their brain that made them human was dead. Their walking about eating people was a means of survival for them.

The group, particularly Rick always struggled with survival and maintaining the part that is human otherwise you are pretty much no better than the zombies. However in doing so, people kept dying. He would try to help 1 person and other people who depended on his protection and guidance would be left vulnerable in his quest to help others and be human.

Coral? All this time I thought it was Carl. Is that a fake Georgia accent on Rick? Sometimes it gets on my nerves when he stretches words out reeeeeeeally loooooooooong.

one of the best pilots of all time IMO

maybe they went so big they never could recreate the power of the first hit
As all flesh eating zombie stories go this is a love story between the characters and the struggle to stay human when humanity turns to shit. Very little beyond season 2 was even about the zombies. Once they knew what the zombies were and how to maneuver around them, they became sort of a background prop and the real danger came from other survivors and what it did to them and what they're doing to each other. The humans gave each other more grief than the zombies did.

Personally I enjoy the social dynamics of human relationships so It's stayed perfectly watchable for me.

A Negan is pretty cool.
Out of all the "bosses" I thought he was the least convincing. How does one Guido cuckify so many men? These are the last human beings on earth, if they made it this far they are not the type to take orders from one man like a herd of sheep. People "beneath" him would be the Daryls and Ricks of society and no one can lead a bunch of men like that. It would be like a pack of lions where a new boss would rise and topple every couple of weeks. Everyone offing the "boss" at every chance and each other to take over the supply chain, not be Neagan's lil helper woman.

I was really hoping Neagan was one of the women outside the command post in season 6 and nobody actually knew who Neagan was but assumed him to be fearful and Godlike but it was all a shadow portrayed by a physically inferior but evil smart woman.

I thought most of the folks still watching were hardcore into the comic books...you don't seem to be this way.
