Just got it for PS4.

I've played bits of the other 2, but my laptop really wasn't good enough for it.

I've watched a few videos online and it looks like it'll be a lot of fun.

Anyone else got it?

Well, everything I guess.

Any tips for levelling up quickly?

Any must know things for combat?

I've played it for a couple of hours this morning (public holiday today) and I'm enjoying it. I've not got far, but I've had a ride around on my horse and done a couple of missions. Still on level one.

Cash is a problem. Need to convert Orens to Crowns or something no clue how to do that.

General stuff I suppose.

Thanks @Zeph

Witcher gear is the best gear, it is worth doing the treasure hunt quests to find it. Stack attack power % bonus', combined with quick attack skills can make you very strong. Red Mutagens combined with combat skills give attack % bonus', at greater red mutagen it is +40% per 3 skills. At the end I had 2 sets of 3 skills combined with greater red mutagens and the best cat witcher gear which increased attack power too.

You can't convert cash until you reach a banker in Novigrad. Cash is a limited resource, in that shops won't replenish the cash taken from them. It is best not to spend frivolously, but by late game shouldn't be a big problem.

You actually don't want to level up too quickly by doing absolutely everything too fast. You don't gain experience from doing missions when you are 6 levels above their recommended level. It helps to keep things a challenge during the storyline and stops everything becoming too hack and slash like open world games can become when you are too powerful. Even with this in place it can become a bit too easy, at least in my experience.

I need to get back to this, kind of got sidetracked with a bunch of other games. Not a big RPG guy, but this is great. Wasn't too impressed with Dragon Age Inquisition.

Neither was I. In fact, we just traded it today and got Gears of War Ultimate.

Also just got W3 and the learning curve is quite steep. The tutorial pop ups are almost an overwhelming amount of information. I can see the potential in the game and am willing to invest in it. Although, I still prefer Skyrim thus far.

Just started this at the weekend, absolutely loving it. Definitely agree the learning curve is steep, there's a huge amount of info not brilliantly conveyed and hidden away behind the scenes, but for me it nicely straddles the line between an old school PC RPG and a console one. You have to do a hell of a lot of reading to know what's going on though, I'm reading all the books etc and it really helps.

I think I prefer Skyrim so far, but can't put my finger on why. Probably another 40 hours or so of gameplay to go though (at least), so I may well change my mind!

The game has some really good story missions. I think overall the writing is pretty good. Some really interesting characters. With the latest patch the performance and game fixes are improved. I at level twenty now just focusing on the main story line. I will new game+ later when the expansion content comes out.

Early on even a pack of dogs will be a challenge. Make sure to dodge, strike and move. I can't really remember much of the specifics of combat, but they are beatable.

I will have to boot it up tonight. Put it down for the last month cause it was pissing me off. Will check levels, etc.

Just picked up W3 this afternoon. Was looking for something like Skyrim but more "adult" I guess. My hope is that Witcher is like GOT where Skyrim was more like LOTR. I'll find out shortly.
