Not everyone is willing to go under the sword of Islam for their faith. This is how Syria became Muslim.
Remember, when these Christians convert, it's the end of an almost 2000 year legacy. These are the original Christians.
They left so much military equipment for the terrorists.. These terrorist orgs aren't capable of building or procuring this stuff themselves. Just blow it all up, punish anyone who funds/arms them and they'll just be left fucking goats in the desert.

But many will flee west and possibly to Jordan. Churches over a thousand years old will be torn down and icons that predate the founding of the United States will have thier faces scraped off. Your tax dollars at work. God save us all.

It was news because the event had received significant msm coverage and every armchair amateur like myself was very aware of it. Thats the entire reason it was noteworthy and highlighted his lack of interest or insight in foreign affairs.
All Christians are converts, all Muslims are converts (or somewhere along their ancestral DNA converted). Both come after many millenniums of other religions. Neither is an origin religion.
