Anyone have any thoughts on this video?

View: https://youtu.be/Fkz5XxFstbc?si=Gful6wJpbtqNFXAb

I hit a personal best a few months ago, then lost a bit and haven't been able to get it back yet. I thought it would come back quickly, but still holding right now. I saw this video and wondered if it's legit. I do feel sore all the time and wonder if it's something similar to what he's saying.

I know nothing about weight lifting and just wing it. Anyone with knowledge have an opinion on this vid?

As the self-proclaimed S&C expert around here (<==only kinda joking?), I just watched the video.

There's a LOT to say.

Will come back later when I have more time to expound more appropirately.

He's not "wrong", but it's also not what he says, either.

I mean, as a most simplistic example, you could do a "step-progression" model where you bump up to something heavier, and stay there for an extended period of time (say 4-6 weeks) until such weight gets / feels "easier". Then you bump up again. Rinse & repeat every 1-1.5 months for a year or more.

It'd totally work while also being the total antithesis of what he said.

More later.
