Back in the 50s, there was an aftermarket option for Volkswagen Beetles to have a coffee maker mounted to the dash.

There were metal disks incorporated into the porcelain cups to keep them in place on the magnetic cup holder.

You will be unsurprised to learn that this didn't sell well, and they are incredibly rare today.
