My great aunt on my mother's side emigrated to the USA, and ended up living in Seattle.

My mum went to live with her for a year in the late 50s, she was also considering emigrating at the time, but got homesick and eventually returned to the UK.

She remembers seeing the 707s overhead, they were test flying them over Lake Washington. The original spec 707s had already begun servive at that point, I believe the planes she saw on test flights were one of the subsequent variants.

Totally unrelated to planes, she also learned to waterski on Lake Washington.

In the 70s when I was little San Francisco had a Jr Science Museum. It was superfun, everything was made to be hands on and interactive. Usually museums were "no touch, no running, be quiet" situations, this place was a madhouse in the best possible way.

They had a room like that, it was one of my favorite things when we went there.

The lazy pieces of shit that live on that street should have been cleaning it up for the past 50 years. Fuck them. I'm actually kind of pissed that this guy does this. I get that it's technically not their property, but they have to live there and look at that shit every day.
100%. If people aren't invested in their community, why should anyone else be? But I get this one...this guy is making a killing off of this content on his YouTube channel, and the marketing his landscaping business gets from it as well. He ain't doing it out of the kindness of his heart, I assure you.
