My peppers grew in abundance but then something ate them all and my plant died.

Luckily we only have these monster hornworms that eat the leaves but nothing else has come by to eat them yet...

@lueVelvet I'm planning on moving my Eureka lemon to a larger pot once I move to a new apartment in the next month. The one I'm in currently faces east, so I'm playing a constant game of musical chairs moving it from one side of the apartment to the other (the patio faces west) in order to get it the most sunlight possible in a single day.

We have so many animals that come through. Our neighborhood is only about four years old, used to be all “woods” and still has a large wooded property directly behind us, so a lot of small mammals and stuff pass by, since we at right up at the lot of the wooded property.

Ah yeah. That’ll do it. We’re lucky enough to not get too many mammals in our yard save for the neighbors stupid stray cats and some raccoons we keep sequestered to the opposite side of the property with a health compost heap. We mostly get visits from birds, butterflies and tortoises

We have a bird feeder in the back, and corn for the squirrels. Sometimes early in the morning, the raccoons and possums will dig through the ground under the feeder for buried stuff or corn. It’s cute.

Dude that'd be so awesome!
I'll post some stuff I make with them
I will send you some dried peppers if you would like...will send different varieties than what Lue Velvet sends.
I am an avid gardener and we have huge surplus

Dry peppers will ship for cheap in a fixed rate package

I roast on grill...then take off skin...then dry...flavor is very nice

Just discovered mole peppers last year...amazing flavor

The Poblano/Ancho(a dried poblano) crop is huge this year...Mild but excellent flavors

That’s awesome! I love checking out the curly tail lizards when I drive south along with the Iguanas and Cuban knight anoles. I still haven’t seen wild Burmese pythons or boas down there but one day I’ll take a trek into the glades to find some.

Curly tails are the most common lizard I see, followed by brown anoles. But the brown anoles are terrified of the curly tails and hide in the trees.
I see the Cuban knight anoles a few times a week too. Motherfuckers always look angry lol

If you're ever in Martin County, look for the Redhead Agamas. They're literally everywhere there

@lueVelvet oh and fuck the iguanas. Everyone likes them in the beginning but they're a fucking pest.

I have iguana shit remnants on the roof of my car right now actually. It doesn't rinse off with a hose so I'm gonna have to take a rag and scrub that shit off

Yeah I know they’re annoying. It’s just novel for me to see them “in the wild”. I have tons of exotic lizards and snakes in my workshop but sometimes it’s the most common invasive that is cool. lol

The curly tail is invasive. It even occasionally preys on my favorite lizard (our native green anole), but it's impossible not to like them. They are so fucking cool and friendly, plus they keep your sidewalks clean of all bugs

I can’t say the same for the invasives up here. Cuban tree frogs are awful. Brown anoles everywhere. We do have a few true green anoles in our yard which we cherish lol

Agree about the Cuban tree frogs and brown anoles. I love the green anoles. When I went to Lakeland recently I made it a point to explore one of the federal wildlife management areas so that I could catch one (released in exact same spot I caught it). We have them down here but they're so rare that I don't want to stress the few we have by catching them.
