It seems obvious that this was an internet poll without reward to get the right answer. Nobody chose the USA or the Oceans trying to find Iran.
They also don't say what the test looked like, but given that a huge number selected the very borders of Iran, instead of centering, almost assuredly this was a borderless map they were choosing from, not the one shown.
