If we can keep "funded WW3" off that list we'll be ok

I think I'd be willing to pay for training during that two years. If it's no longer a lifetime thing, why not. You get EBT and all that for two years. You also must join a trade school program and be trained. If at the end of two years you did not graduate with a B average you are billed for the two years of EBT and the cost of the training. Garnishment just like any tax bill or student loan if they don't pay.

If they just dump these people at the end there will be massive increases in violence. The right thing to do is actually spend the money on raising these people up as productive citizens. It would be cheaper than what we do now and result in some percentage of them coming out the other end with something to offer themselves and their community.

I would think all of this would be basic common knowledge for anyone receiving public assistance.
Most honest ppl just get by on ga(government assistance) their drive to do better or earn more is instinctive “others” lazy ppl play games with it, a single mom claims to be single with 12 kids but in reality has some Dude living with her hustling meth/crack/heroin/fent/stealing or actually has a job and living rent free with her.
Having the government try to offer/track adds another layer into the process for the government to fck up or add more confusion.
Government (we) don’t need to pay to “raise ppl up to be productive citizens”
They do not want to be raised up they want a free ride. They think you’re a fool/sucker if you work in the system
the drive to raise up comes from within esp if you watched your parents struggle for everything you’ve had your whole life

That's exactly how it was supposed to work.

Problem is that there's different kinds of people in the world.

My dad came back from nam, went to a party, met my mom and knocked her up and married her.

They went on assistance and my dad went to trade school as his MOS was pretty useless in the real world.
Part of the program was an internship which was a full time job. The company liked him and he already had his own service truck when he graduated the program.

He was very proud of himself, rightly so. He didn't even go home, he drove to the welfare office and informed them we didn't need their help anymore.
Then he went home to tell my mon the good news.

Her response was that she didn't want that, she wanted to stay on welfare so she could paint and he could play music and she wants a divorce because he's always working or in school. I was about 1 when that happened.
She spent the rest of her life scamming the system, only working at all when she absolutely had to. She never once bought me school clothes or shoes, that was someone else's responsibility not hers...

People are just built different so you can't expect them to have the same motivations you have.

Yeah you're probably right. I don't think 100% of people on the program are cheating it. Probably most. I'd just like for people to be given something they could use when they find themselves down and out. I'm just talking here not dying on a hill.

I do think there are more ppl screwing the system than ppl not
ppl screwing it will ruin it for the ppl really needing the help
