Yep this tall dude is raking eyes at will so they aren't preventing the one thing they should be designed for
Other than boxing gloves, I don't know what glove design can do to someone that is intent on poking eyes.

Yes he does use pokes for half of his stand up lead hand attacks and also uses jabs to mix it up
