Thats because outside of Aspinall all the big guys are sort of boring. HW division in the UFC was cool for like 2 years. Brock, Mir, Big Nog, Randy, Carwin era.
I politely disagree. HW and LHW are the best divisions for finishes and KOs. Personally I like watching 170 and up the most, 155 is alright and 145 can be good. I am obviously not their current target demographic.
UFC roster has like 30 LHWs and 30 HWs and 66 135ers and 66 145ers or something like that, I almost posted a breakdown the other day. Roster is mostly smaller guys now, probably cheaper. I almost posted a discussion of the fighters under contract and still may, UFC really has loaded their lower weight classes and barely has cards with lots of bigger fighters anymore.

Lopes doesn't strike me as a big PED guy, just a big young dude who cuts for a size advantage. I would bet he moves to 155 when he gets older and the cut gets harder. On the Embedded episodes he got super excited to have a cheat day where he could have some bread, so he seems to have a very strict diet in camp.
