Actually European settlers came across vast tracks of arable land that had been previously been farmed a few generations beforehand, but due to smallpox and other diseases introduced by European settlers that spread through the indigenous population vast amounts of people, whole settlements, were wiped out. It's believed by some that over 90% of people were wiped out by these diseases in some areas, because they didn't have prior exposure or resistance to these virulent strains.

My people giving them smallpox-laden blankets had a lot to do with it, but let's be realistic for a second here.
The land I'm currently standing on was at one point all swampland (the southwestern half of the state still is).
It wasn't until people like Henry Flagler and Napoleon Broward came in and drained the land that it actually became an urban area.
Do you really think the Natives could have dredged vast areas of swampland even if they had wanted to?

Man, I want to like her. I have zero issues with dissenting views at all, I actually quite like it. I don't care if someone hates white people, own it, say it and back up your reasons as to why you feel that way, I really respect that. But I hate when people play coy or beat around the bush and being vague about it.
But I totally get why you guys don't want these discussions on here at all. If that is the sentiment I will do my best not to contribute to those discussions, I just like a good debate from time to time, regardless of the issue.
