General USA fails to qualify for 2018 World Cup

Don't know if this is a national thing or not but in Illinois, lacrosse is really taking off in popularity. I've found it a great way to meet hot moms. I stop by the game and scout out the kids/moms. Then when the game starts I'll heckle the kid with the hottest mom relentlessly for their lack of skill/effort. Then when the mom finally breaks down and tells me what a pos I am, I apologize and explain that I really love lacrosse and sometimes get over emotional when watching games at any level, then offer to take her out for lunch or starbucks. High success rate.

Lacrosse is typically a rich kids game. More power to ya for capturing some of that grade a ass.
My cousin was an all American goalie at Loyola and via him I met the girls goalie and she was fun, what a body and a very devious girl.....she was one of those natural athletes who decided she wanted to play lacrosse when she got to school freshman year and was given the position with zero experience as she was that talented (not because of her other talents if you know what I mean) My cousin said she was the best athlete he had seen in a while. Her dad was the head of the secret service and ran a private security company once he stepped down and ran significant background checks on me.....only thing he found was a $90 pissing in public fine.....

The Netherlands may also have to sit this one out. Total garbage. And both the US and the Netherlands looked spectacular.

still can't believe Holland didn't qualify .. just goes to show you can't expect automatic qualification, you have to take those matches seriously

Not really......if they’re looking to allow really weak nations a chance to enter the competition then they’ve done the job......they should set up the qualification and seeding based on world ranking and not set up on a regional basis.......

I believe the point is that the world cup has participants from all over the world not just the most developed nations over and over again. It's not perfect and I agree it's unfair in a lot of ways, but as a promotional tool it's been very successful.
