Kind of thinking about starting a vinyl collection, mostly for the artwork, not gunna lie. But I can't get over how impractical they are. And so I come to you. Yay or Gay?

I voted yay though vinyl aren't for me. I can't justify them but they do make for a cool collection.

Like I said I mostly just want the artwork, but then if I buy vinyls I'll also need to get a good record player, because the only thing gayer than buying vinyls is not listening to them. Is there any sort of advantage to vinyl over digital such as 320 kbps or FLAC? Or is it purely a douche brigade?
No room, there will be like 20 members of the extended family down there.
There will always be a warmth to analog sound that digital can't fuck with. It's why musicians still use tube amps.
When you say warmth do you mean it's more bassy? Or it gives the tracks more depth?

Seriously though I was in the same boat about a year and a half ago, a nice turntable went of sale so I had all these thoughts of starting a super cool vinyl collection.
I realized I'm just too accustomed to listening to flacs on the computer. I didn't like the whole process of handling the vinyls either, was always scared I'd drop or scratch it. Ended up selling the turntable and the few records I bought.
