Theres a movie from the 70's by the same name too. Is cheesy but a decent watch if you want more insight.
I hward there was a followup show as well

Yuel brenner shows up in the background of one of the scenes. I think it's when bernard is checking out the old relay on an abandoned floor

watched it 3 days ago. it was only 90 minutes long. was a real fun movie, especially for someone who (a) LOVE the HBO show westworld and (b) hasn't seen many movies from the early 70s

the plot was cool. the acting was different, but i grew to really dig it. plus, it changed as the plot changed

*Easter Egg* this could be a lie, but i heard that it was the first movie to use CGI (view of scene from the gunslingers P.O.V.). supposedly, some huge company gave an estimate of sooooo much money. the producers didn't have it. or rather, it wouldnt have been worth it. so they hired some dude for like 20k. took him 4 months

**************

side note, i am starting a series of episode breakdowns once a week as i do a rewatch of the show. they will all have MAJOR SPOILERS since im describing what evidence we have in each episode for the handful of major plots and reveals. so DONT watch any video on this playlist until you've seen the entire season. i cannot stress that enough. the show is one of the best, but part of that was the journey, which included many surprise twists... go watch it if you haven't
