Drums>Space>The Other One>Black Peter,
5-7-89, Frost Amphitheatre

I was there dancing, three hits of window pane, nitrous, more dancing, topless hippy chicks, big spliffs.
Back in the camping days when you could set up your tent in a parking lot of a venue.

ETA, haven't listened to this show in years, but it's as my memory told me: great overall, probably my favorite performances of Crazy Fingers (flawed though it might be) and Other One; Jerry was blazing all through Other One. This was when Dan Healy was still running concert sound, and he played with trippy fx from the soundboard. To the increasing displeasure of one or more band members.
But when Bobby comes in for the final verse, Healy makes his voice sound like Mickey Mouse and my brain broke.

Right when I was peaking

Thanks to your reminder earlier, I just got through a few more episodes. They go by pretty quick, and think I only have 2 or 3 left now.

I don’t really mind the voice actor thing you mentioned. I actually kind of like this style of podcast format.
Me too. The first one I heard was, ironically their first series "Netflix vs Blockbuster" I was like "The fuck is this shit? One actor?" but as I said, made me think of when they used to do actual shows on the radio and I got into it. I'd recommend the whole Business Wars podcast, even rivalries I wouldn't have had any interest in. If you're looking for another one "American Scandal" is outstanding.

I listened to some of the earlier AS seasons. But I had taken a hiatus from podcasts for a while after getting burned out trying to keep up with too many. Looks like AS has a ton of seasons now that I haven’t heard.

Now that you mention it, I think we've discussed the BALCO series in the past.

If I’m thinking of the right one, they also had one on Iran Contra, Exxon Valdez, and maybe a Lance Armstrong one? That’s what I can remember off the top of my head. Balco was a good one.
Lance Armstrong was the most recent.

Iran Contra was probably the best.

I get sucked into anything about the Lance Armstrong story. When I first moved to Austin (early 2000s) he was a rockstar here. I used to see him around town sometimes, and went to a few cycling related events he hosted and was at and milling around. He used to host a mountain bike race every year on his ranch that we did a couple of times. Legit local celebrity, especially among us pedal pushers. And then....

I really like the ESPN 30 for 30 series, and they also did a good episode on him recently too.
